About Us

The NHS Forest inspires and supports healthcare sites to grow their green spaces for health, wellbeing and biodiversity. We help sites to plan, plant and manage trees, woodland and hedgerows to create habitats for wildlife and sustainable social spaces for people. A nature-positive health service is vital for building stronger, healthier and more sustainable communities. The NHS Forest project sits within the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare and has been supporting healthcare sites to harness the benefits of green space since 2009.
